Immigration of different Iranian ethnic groups from Iran is one of the most important social events of this country throughout its history. Many of these migrations led to the introduction and growth of Iranian culture around the world. The vast land of Khorasan was one of the important and strategic areas affected by the phenomenon of migration. In its History, Khorasan, reacted to the invasion of the Mongols and the unfavorable social conditions and the fear of the invaders with the out-migration phenomena. In this article, considering the case area of Khorasan during the Mongol invasions and the rule of the Ilkhanids, attempts are made to identify, as far as possible, the immigrant groups from Khorasan to the land of Asia Minor, the domain of the Sultanate of Rum. In this regard, the main question of the research is, which were included in the immigrants to Asia Minor? It seems that the largest groups of migrants to Asia Minor were artists, poets, mystics and bureaucrats, whose wide range of them was Khorasani. Using descriptive-analytical method, this article tries to identify and mention migrant guilds and the importance and influence of these groups, especially Khorasanies, in the Sultanate of Rum’s court. |
